Social Work Students preparing for their first practice placement have the opportunity to spend a few days with Families in Care gaining invaluable experience and insight into adoption and child protection process from birth parents' perspective.

• Support and feedback from suitably qualified Practice Educator and social workers

• Shadowing social workers

• Training provided by birth parents

• Group and one-to-one work with birth parents

• Networking and visiting relevant agencies
